The Revive server is an application installed on your QNAP NAS. Office PCs are backed up to it over the local network, laptops on the move through a built-in encrypted tunnel.

Installing on the NAS

A QNAP application, not a project.

  1. Install the application on the NAS

    Revive installs as a native QNAP application.

  2. Choose the storage volume

    Backups are written to the volume you designate.

  3. Open the console

    Web console, dark or light, in French and English. Sign-in with a security key or Windows Hello.

  4. Enrol your PCs

    Deploy the agent through MSI, Intune or GPO with an enrolment token. The PCs appear in the console.

Remote access for laptops

In the office and on the move.

Laptops away from the office are the ones that almost never get backed up. With Revive they are protected like the rest, without the user having to do anything.

  • The tunnel opens on its own, only for the backup. Then it closes. Nothing extra to install.
  • No conflict with the company VPN. Revive does not depend on it and does not replace it.
  • Automatic fallback. When a network blocks the tunnel, a fallback takes over with no intervention.
  • Nothing is lost offline. Missed backups are caught up as soon as the laptop is back online.
