Security designed for Zero Trust.
A backup holds a PC's entire life. So Revive starts from a simple principle: nothing is taken on trust, not a PC, not an administrator, not a restore request.
Protect the backups as much as the PCs.
End-to-end encryption
Data is encrypted on the PC before it is sent. It travels and is stored encrypted on your NAS.
One identity per PC, bound to its TPM chip
Each PC proves who it is with its TPM chip. No password is typed on the PC at enrolment: a token is enough, distributed with the agent by your deployment tool.
A stolen PC is revoked in one click
From the console, one click is enough for a lost or stolen PC to stop being recognised. Its backups remain available to get the user back to work.
Passwordless administrators
Administrators sign in to the console with a FIDO2 security key (YubiKey) or Windows Hello. No password to steal, no password to reuse.
Image restore only from an authorised local network
A full PC image can only be restored from a local network that you have authorised. An image cannot be pulled from the internet.
Built-in encrypted tunnel based on WireGuard
Away from the office, the agent opens the tunnel to your NAS itself, only for the duration of the backup, then closes it. Nothing extra to install, no conflict with the company VPN.
Signed updates
The server and the agents only install signed updates. The console's “Update” button does the rest.
No data held by a third party
The server runs on your QNAP NAS. No mandatory cloud subscription: you decide where your backups live and how long they are kept.
Helps with NIS2 compliance
NIS2 requires you to be able to restore. The console shows which PCs are protected, since when and under which policy. NIS2 and ISO 27001 compliance reports, with restore evidence, are on the roadmap. Planned
Prove that an image boots
With Restore Assurance, the NAS will automatically boot images in an isolated virtual machine and keep proof that they work. Planned
